An idea has been proposed on a theory about Ukraine’s motive for shooting down Malyasian Flight MH17, the Boeing 777 airliner that crashed in east Ukraine on July 17, 2014. If correct, the theory might assist investigators in identifying those who ordered the downing. I first present the theory. Following that are the words of Donetsk People’s Republic Prime Minister Alexander Zakharchenko, spoken at the one year commemoration ceremony for the victims of the tragedy.

Theory on the Motive for the MH17 Shootdown.

Analysts have come up with a logical motive for the downing of Malyasian flight MH17, a crime many believe was ordered by Ukrainian government officials. Though unproven, the following theory about the motive for the crime fits all facts known to us:

First, is not a coincidence that flight MH17 was shot down at a bottleneck in the territory held by the Novorossiya Armed Forces (NAF). This bottleneck, formed by the downward notch of the Debaltsevo pocket to the north and an upward bend of the Russian border to the south (see map at right), also happened to coincide with the boundary between the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics (shown on map below). Cutting NAF territory in half at that point would isolate the two Republics, thus crippling the coordinated efforts of the DPR and LPR militias. The Ukrainian Armed Forces were at that time already trying to isolate the two Republics by amassing UAF troops in the Debaltsevo pocket.

As MH17 moved into Ukrainian air space, it was moved by ATC Kiev 200 miles north – putting it on a new course, heading into the war zone. (--http://21stcenturywire.com/2014/07/25/mh17-verdict-real-evidence-points-to-us-kiev-cover-up-of-failed-false-flag-attack/)

But attempts so far were unsuccessful. They needed a further advantage. Recall that a few minutes before the crash, the Malaysian Boeing, while being escorted by at least one Ukrainian SU25 fighter jet, was directed from its normal southern flight path to a course aimed for the location of the shootdown. It thus appears that the crash site was deliberately chosen.

Why choose the site at that particular spot?

As a strategic military ploy, according to the theory, the perpetrators of the crime were seeking that advantage that would enable the UAF to isolate the Donetsk and Lugansk Republics, The perpetrators must have known that a major passenger airline crash at the narrow neck along DPR/LPR boundary would draw into the area a number of foreign investigators and security forces, whose presence would disrupt the defenses of the militias.

And indeed, the horrific ploy nearly worked. During the chaotic days of investigation and recovery that followed the airline tragedy, the Ukrainian Armed Forces almost succeeded in cutting the last highway connecting the cities of Donetsk and Lugansk. That important highway passed not far from the crash site. Ultimately, the NAF managed to hold their ground, but not without difficulty.

If the idea that a crime of this magnitude could be committed for cold-blooded strategic reasons is hard to accept, bear in mind that the UAF, under orders from Poroshenko, has killed thousands of civilians by the deliberate shelling of residential neighborhoods. That such a motive seems unthinkable does not mean the theory should be discarded. We believe it should be evaluated thoroughly on the basis of all evidence.

Many things are unthinkable about the Ukrainian war on Donbass. Nevertheless, we must be brave enough to look at events clearly.

Some have suggest that Ukrainian officials may not have been smart enough to come up with such a diabolical plot. However, the tweets of Carlos “Spainbuca”, who was present in the KIev air control tower at the moment of the downing, mentioned foreigners in the control tower ordering employees to turn over their cell phones. This implied CIA or other foreign intelligence involvement. Note that Carlos’ Twitter feed could not have been a hoax. His tweets were time-stamped while the event was in progress. To know the plane was being shot down, he had to have been at the place where the shootdown was being ordered.

Zakharchenko Speaks on Loss of Boeing 777

The Donetsk People’s Republic is ready to provide all necessary assistance to those who seek to establish the truth about the downing of a Malaysian “Boeing”. This was stated by head of DPR Alexander Zakharchenko, opening the memorial service for the victims of the plane crash. “Donetsk People’s Republic from the first day after the commission of this terrible crime has provided all possible assistance in its investigation. We are now ready to render all necessary assistance to the people who still seek the truth and punish the Ukrainian authorities who have committed such a tragedy,” said the head of state.

Zakharchenko added that he would like to express his most sincere condolences to the relatives and friends of the downed passenger airliner a year ago. “Any death is a tragedy, but this is especially true when civilians are killed,” he stressed. “I want to appeal to the relatives of the victims: if you have expressed a desire to come here to honor the memory of their loved ones, we promise to provide all security measures and how to meet the most expensive room. The monument, which today we set, is a tribute to all those who died in the skies over our beautiful frontier,” said Head of the Republic. Following the statements Zakharchenko commemorated the passengers of the “Boeing” with a minute of silence.

The aircraft company “Malaysian Airlines”, while making a flight from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur, crashed on July 17 last year, near the city of Ugledar in the Donetsk People’s Republic. All aboard the “Boeing-777” passengers and crew – 298 people – were killed. DPR authorities have provided all possible assistance for the search and rescue and criminal investigators from the Netherlands and Malaysia. Nevertheless Kiev and the West, not even waiting for the first results of the investigation, were quick to blame the unproven catastrophe on Donbass militias and the Russian Federation.

Attempts to Establish Tribunal in Case of “Boeing” Are Destructive
to the Nature of the Investigation – Purgin

The idea of creating an international tribunal for the case of the crash of the Malaysian “Boeing” is destructive to the character of the investigation. This is the anniversary of the tragedy of the airliner, Chairman of the DPR National Council Andrew Purgin told DAN. “It is a speculative thing. Nothing similar has existed in situations where, for example, Ukraine was hit by aircraft flying over the Black Sea from Israel in other similar incidents. Nothing [results] if it is not carried out,” he said. “From my point of view, it is a destructive process.” Purgin also stressed that the investigation was initially strongly politicized. “This is not conducive to reducing tension in this matter, but on the contrary, it adds to them,” he emphasized.

In Moscow, meanwhile, it is believed that the perpetrators be considered responsible for the deaths of passengers and crew of the ship only after the investigation is completed. “It turns out that after a year of inactivity, after numerous appeals by Russia in the Security Council on the revitalization of the investigation, we are saying, let’s quickly create an international tribunal,” said Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.

According to him, the UN Security Council is absolutely inexperienced. “Never in a situation of a civil aircraft crash, whether in 1988, when the Americans shot down an Iranian passenger plane, or in 2001, when the Ukrainian military shot down our plane of company “Siberia”, and in other similar cases, have there been tribunals created by the UN Security Council,” the Russian minister added.

Earlier, Malaysia appealed to the UN Security Council with a proposal to establish an international tribunal to prosecute those responsible for the crash of the “Boeing”. The corresponding resolution is expected to be considered on July 21. [Update July 20: enemy reports say the Statute of the international Tribunal for the crash of the “Boeing” in Donbass was agreed. A memorial service for the victims of the crash of the Malaysian Airlines Boeing-777 was completed by the laying of flowers to open a monument in the village of Grabovo, it was reported by a DAN correspondent from the scene. The first flowers at the monument to the dead were laid by the head of the republic Alexander Zakharchenko and the deputy chairman of the DPR National Council Dennis Pushilin. They were followed by the villagers of hornbeam and other neighboring villages, as well as representatives of the organizations and agencies of the D{R. During the memorial service, prayers for the victims were given by representatives of Orthodox and Muslim faiths, because among the victims there were many residents of Malaysia, professing Islam.

The monument in honor of the dead is a granite slab marble tablet: “In memory of those killed 298 people. The innocent victims of the Civil War.”
